This film was borne out of a situation of frustration and desperation. Living in London and on the dole, aspiring film maker Darren Hercher approaches the end of the line of the welfare system and his last dole cheque. In a desperate act he decides to borrow a camera and try and make a film using his final payout before a macjob beckons.
A spontaneous and quixotic journey into the unknown begins after Darren asks a complete stranger outside the dole office to send him anywhere in the UK but it must be somewhere that has a special place in their heart. A series of unexpected, moving and inspiring encounters ensues as the film funded only by the dole cheque starts to take Darren and the viewer on a very rewarding and revealing journey.
